BARRON FAMILY REUNION !!
UPDATE !!

The reunion was held on time and thanks to my sister Jean Ann, my wife Marian and I were able to attend. I am working on pictures and details and will add the many bits of information as I can in the next few weeks. Please check back here and on the main page.

    • Hello Cousins: Although the usual March date did not work out, this is to announce a date for a reunion this year. Please MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW!


  • We will gather at Knox Hall inside the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum on
    SATURDAY. AUGUST 14 beginning at 8 AM to midnight. It is located at 1-35 and
    University Parks Drive, 100 Texas Ranger Trail, Waco, TX 76702.
  • MAKE RESERVATIONS NOW for the night of FRIDAY. AUGUST 13, 2004 at one of the lodgings listed below.~If you can stay a 2nd night, then arrange to extend your reservation through Saturday. That will allow for flirther visiting on Sunday before leaving.

    MOTEL ACCOMODATIONS
    Although we have wed the Clarion Inn before, all its rooms are booked for virtually every weekend until late in the year. Reservations need to be made now, as the rooms are subject to prior rental Ask for the Barron Family rate or Seniors rate. Other Motels with rooms still available for Aug13 include the fr/owing:

    Best Western Old Main Lodge

    (Currently has 80 rooms available for August 13. There is also
    a meeting room. This is the closest motel to the Hall of Fame.)

  • The major costs for the Hall, for tables and chairs, for the catered lunch on Saturday, and for incidental postage, etc., can be expected to be $2,500 - $2,600, depending on the number of those who attend. I have already made the necessary deposits to hold the space. To cover these costs, and to plan for the number of lunches,. please send a check for $17.50 for each ADULT in your group (reply card and envelope provided).
    • In order to successfully plan for such a large event, please reply as soon as possible. or no later than May 1~ 2004. We want to encourage everyone to come, so if you are unable to make a commitment at this time, please tell me so, and we will correspond later.
    NEORMATION NEEDED

    Please contact as many as you can from your family branch, and send them copies of this letter right away. Don't miss this opportunity to renew your relationships with famiIy, and meet some you have never known!

    · It is very important that I hear from every individual or family group who will be there, giving me the number in the pay, and confirming that your reservation has been made, so that I can Make any necessary adjustments. Also, tell me where you will be staying.

    Please indicate which of Thomas Hudson Barron's children you descend from, in case
    I don't know.

    Please remember to bring whatever family history, pictures, etc., that you hope to work
    on. I hope to have a copying machine for you convenience.
